Owner and operator, Kenneth has 25 years of hands-on experience in different aspects of the construction industry, including completely gutting and rebuilding his family’s 1930s home. He is well versed with all aspects of building and safety while providing you with the customer-oriented integrity and work ethic you deserve.

Smart Choice Home Inspections offers a variety of property inspection services to both residents and business owners of Vancouver Island. From thermal imaging to new home efficiency tests to home maintenance inspections, Smart Choice can help you fully understand your property’s safety and efficiency. We do inspections on both residential and commercial properties, whether it’s pre-sale, pre-warranty or even pre-listing. Unlike other inspectors in the area, we use a remote operated vehicle for entering tight crawlspaces, ensuring a more accurate report.

While Smart Choice was established in 2005, we have decades of experience in the field and the skills to show for it. With a journeyman painter and decorator, we are familiar with what potential issues can look like when covered up and can give advice on how to repair these covered up problems if the client requests it. Giving back to the community, our owner Kenneth also used his time-tested skills to teach the Carson Dunlop Property and Home Inspection course at Excel Career College.
